DCUK Web Series Writers Room, July 2015

DCUK runs a quarterly series of writers’ workshops with some of Digital Creators UK’s award-winning writer/creators, where three scripts will have a reading by professional actors, followed by constructive feedback from the panel, actors and the group. Looking at dialogue, pacing, style, structure, characterisation, audience demographics and marketability, as well as answering any questions the writers have, the session will give you tools to help you hone and perfect your webseries scripts.

Alongside regular tutors Lisa Gifford and Vicky Howell, in the July 2015 Writers Room we were pleased to be joined by acclaimed script consultant Hayley McKenzie known to many as ScriptAngel. A popular script consultant, Hayley is booked out for consultancies until 2016, so this was a rare opportunity to get notes from one of the industry’s leading experts.
